The Bulletin Deadline Is Changing
Starting with the bulletin for the weekend of October 31 and November 1, we have a new submission schedule. The bulletin is moving to a new format, and we need a little more time to prepare it.
New submission timeline:
General bulletin content is due by 10 a.m. on the Monday about two weeks before the bulletin comes out. The new bulletin format starts the weekend of October 31 and November 1, so the submission cutoff is Monday, October 19.
Here is what the new bulletin format means for our parish:
- Help getting the word out. If you’re planning an event, the earlier timeline gives us time to include your event in our communications planning. We can also help with wording, design, or translation.
- More color pages. The bulletin will have more color, which makes it brighter and more enjoyable.
- A better-prepared bulletin. Our staff and volunteers will have more time to put each issue together carefully, in English and Spanish.
- Fresh news still gets in. Our one-page, black-and-white insert, with English on one side and Spanish on the other, will be for true last-minute items, like prayer intentions and changes no one could have predicted.
The sooner we hear about your event, the better we can help. If you have questions or aren’t sure where your news fits, please contact the parish communications office at rosm@sjtbcc.org, extension 103, at both parishes. We’re happy to help.
