Are you ready to be part of something amazing? Welcome to High School Youth Ministry at St. John the Baptist! This is the place where you can connect, have fun, and grow in your faith.
Experience the High School Youth Ministry
High School Youth Ministry is where high school students from St. John come together to connect, have fun, and grow in their faith. You’ll get to make new friends, deepen your relationship with Jesus, serve your community, and have a blast while doing it!
Join Us Every Sunday Night
Starting September 24, we’ll gather every Sunday from 6:45-8:45 pm in the McMullen Center classrooms after the 5:30 pm Mass. Mark your calendars and don’t miss out!
Everyone's Welcome
Anyone in high school is welcome to join our High School Youth Ministry events—no matter who you are or where you’re from, you belong here! You don’t need to register ahead of time. Just show up, sign in at our sign-in desk, and get ready to dive in!
Bring Your Friends Along
Absolutely! Bring any high school-aged friends along. They don’t need to be from St. John or even be Catholic. The more, the merrier! Just drop in and sign in at the usual table, and we’ll make sure you and your friends feel right at home.
Dive Deep into Your Faith
High School Youth Ministry is all about deepening your faith. Our sessions are designed to enrich your understanding of Catholic theology through engaging lessons and small group sharing. There’s always time for prayer, reflection, and of course, some fun!
Exciting Events and Retreats
Throughout the year, we offer retreats and opportunities to attend Catholic youth events with high school students from across the Archdiocese. These experiences are a fantastic way to grow in your faith and connect with the wider Catholic community.

High School Youth Ministry is led by Peter Guthrie, our awesome Pastoral Assistant for Youth Ministry, along with an incredible team of adult volunteers. They’re here to support, guide, and make sure you have the best experience possible.
Get Involved as a Volunteer
Interested in volunteering? Awesome! All our volunteers complete a background check and receive training in child safety and youth ministry. Contact Peter Guthrie for more info on how you can get involved.
