Youth Confirmation Year 2

Registration:
Year 2 Students still need to register!
Please fill out the St. John Faith Formation Registration Form as well as the Confirmation Info Form and turn them in before September 30, 2021 to be registered for Confirmation Year 2.  All candidates registered after September 30th will be placed into the following school year’s Year 2 Confirmation preparation program.

Year 2 Requirements :

• Candidates must be participating regularly in their age group’s faith formation program at St. John or an equivalent program at school (Catholic schools).
• Candidates must be attending Mass weekly either in-person or online.
• Service Project:
  Each candidate must complete 2 service projects of their choosing with their sponsor. Once completed, candidates must fill out this service project form and turn it in. Only 2 projects need to be done over the 2 year period of Confirmation preparation. These can be spread out between both years or both done in one year.
• Candidates must attend the following Confirmation Prep Sessions and Retreat dates:
  Note: Sponsors do not attend these sessions

  Date/Time: TUESDAYS  from 7pm-8:45pm in the McMullen Educational Center.

  • Nov 2- Session 1
  • Nov 9- Session 2
  • Nov 16- Session 3
  • Nov 23 – Session 4
  • Nov 30- Session 5
  • Nov 7- Session 6
  • Nov 14-  Planned make-up day in the event one is cancelled

  • Feb 1- Session 7
  • Feb 8- Session 8
  • Feb 15- Session 9
  • Mar 1- Session 10
  • Mar 8- Session 11
  • Mar 15- Session 12
  • Mar 22 – Planned make-up day in the event one is cancelled

  Confirmation Retreat:

  • May 13-15  –  Location TBD

  Confirmation In-Person Rehearsal WITH Sponsors:

  • Date TBD by Archdiocese – We will let you know closer to the spring when they tell us.
    -Budget an hour and a half for this. Sponsors, or a parent to sit in for the sponsor, must be in attendance with the candidate.
