St. John the Baptist supports over 80 ministries. In a letter to the parish updated last year, our Stewardship commission wrote: "Stewardship is grounded in community, for community is a wonderful place where we can encounter and deepen our relationship with God. Every activity within our community is connected to the value of Stewardship as we experience mutual support and shared responsibility. Caring for the grounds, being a liturgical minister, teaching, cleaning areas of the building, participating in our worship as gathered community, or serving on a parish committee or commission are but few of the activities through which members of this community are in relationship with each other and with God through the value of Stewardship. For some, the primary avenue for sharing time and talent will be through ministries within the life of our parish."

Living Your Strengths
Living Your Strengths is the text we use for newcomers to the parish who want to discover what gifts and talents they bring to our community. Participants in the course take the Gallup StrengthsFinder test to discover learn which of 35 different gifts are expressed most strongly in them. Combining that information with their natural interests helps them to decide how best to get involved in parish life. St. John the Baptist offers Strengths workshops twice a year, contact Anne Frederick to find out more.
