Dear Faith Formation Families,
We hope you're enjoying Summer Break; finding time for family, fun and renewal!
ONLINE Registration is NOW Open for 2025-26 Faith Formation classes and Sacramental Preparation!
We're busy preparing for the return of the Faith Formation (FF) programs for our children from preschool through 12th grade!
Christina Daniel will be taking the lead with our PK-4th program this year! Christina has many years of experience in education, including over eight years of serving as a catechist here at St. John the Baptist. She has a deep faith in Jesus and loves the Catholic tradition in celebrating that faith!
Veronica (Vero) Nava Jimenez has been serving as the youth minister for Holy Spirit parish. She's excited to be expanding her role to also serve the youth of St. John the Baptist.
Joan Williamson is the Pastoral Assistant for Faith Formation at St. John the Baptist. She has over 40 years of experience in Catholic Faith Formation. Her journey began in the Seattle Archdiocese and has taken her across the East Coast (both Canada and the U.S.), the South, and the Midwest with NET Ministries. She spent more than 10 years in the St. Paul Archdiocese and the last 24 years back in Seattle. Joan is very excited about the new opportunities that Partners in the Gospel will bring as she continues to serve in the Great Commission of Jesus Christ!

Sacramental Preparation – 1st Reconciliation, 1st Eucharist:
For Sacramental preparation, we prepare children over a two-year period, making the first year a foundational, comprehensive, and community-building year, with the second year focusing on specific Sacramental formation, after which the Sacraments will be celebrated. If your child is in their second year of the faith formation program (or was active in another parish program last year, and you can provide a letter of verification) and you desire sacramental preparation, make sure to fill out the Sacramental section of the registration.
Confirmation 8th - 12th grade:
Phase 1 Confirmation preparation is taking place at Holy Spirit Parish in Kent.
Phase 2 Confirmation is offered on Tuesdays at St. John the Baptist.
Registration Options:
- Online Registration - the easiest way to pay with a card:
- Paper Form: Pick up a form from the narthex tables office for completion and payment.
If you need assistance with the fees, please call Joan Williamson at 253-630-0701 x109. There are scholarships available, or you can make payments throughout the year as your financial situation allows. Please never let money prevent you from participating in Faith Formation.
We look forward to working with you as we continue our journey of formation in the Catholic faith, celebrating our Sacramental life at weekly Mass, and living our faith out loud through our actions.
May God’s continuous blessings be upon you and your family.
