Their services are free and open to people of all faiths and backgrounds. You can help by donating diapers (sizes 5, 6, and 7), baby wipes, or formula. Bring your donation to the retreat and receive a free raffle ticket as a thank-you!

PREPARES relies on volunteers and donations to provide diaper drives, fundraisers, and compassionate companionship to families in need. By participating in the retreat, you’re helping make a real difference in our community.
Don’t miss this opportunity to recharge your creative spirit and connect with others. Whether you’re a retreat regular or attending for the first time, we can’t wait to welcome you for a weekend of fun, friendship, and fulfillment!

Family 30 has a new rectory!
This week, Fr. Carlos (with dogs and goats) is moving in to a home we purchased in Kent, 5 minutes from Holy Spirit and 10 minutes from St. John the Baptist. St. John’s used a combination of Capital Reserve and Operating savings, some savings from Holy Spirit, and a $450,000 loan from the Archdiocese to purchase the home at a total cost of $695,000.

The rectory is a 3-bedroom split-level home with a large daylight basement that can (and will) be converted into independent living quarters for a second priest. Seminarians will be able to stay with the pastor as well. And it has a large yard for happy dogs!
The rectory needs furnishings. To donate new, or very lightly used furnishings, or to make a monetary donation towards purchasing furniture, contact Fr. Carlos or the office – include pictures and descriptions of the furniture. DO NOT drop off furniture.
We are also requesting funds in a campaign to reduce our loan cost – Donations via check, please write “Family 30 Rectory.” Checks can be placed in the offering basket or mail to: St. John the Baptist: 25810 156th Ave. SE, Covington, WA 98042.
We will have a fund set up on Pushpay by February 1st.
