Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019 7pm – Study of Bishop Robert Barron’s Letter to a Suffering Church, continued. Fourth in a six week series meeting Tuesday evenings. Tonight we discuss Chapter 3: “We Have Been Here Before.” Jesus’ church will not be lost, it will survive! What are the questions that need to be asked in order to heal, change, and grow closer to what Jesus desires of His Church? Let us learn from history, and not repeat the horrors that have been done in the past.
Sat./Sun., October 20th/21st, 2019 all masses Stewardship of Treasure Renewal. Out of a heart of gratitude we offer our gifts to God’s service. Please consider making or renewing a pledge to St. John the Baptist. Over the next 4 weeks we will be showcasing how your stewardship allows the parish to offer over 80 ministries to the community and allows us to maintain our facilities without requesting a loan or mounting a capital campaign. Sunday, October 27th, 12:30 pm. Budget Town Hall – Join us after the 11:30 am mass in the Sanctuary to learn more about our budget and finances for 2019-2020. Your stewardship has power! After a short presentation from a member of the finance council, you will have an opportunity to ask questions of the council and the administrator.
Tuesday, October 29th, 2019 7pm – Study of Bishop Robert Barron’s Letter to a Suffering Church, continued. Fifth in a six week series meeting Tuesday evenings. Tonight we discuss Chapter 4: “Why Should We Stay.” It is good to ponder our own faith in the midst of this journey as a church. We will take some time to tell our stories and reasons for staying. We will spend time on finding ways to bring hope to those who are hurting, barely hanging on, needing and wanting help to stay.
Saturday, November 2nd 10am to 3pm – Craft and Hobby Day – Come work on a craft or hobby without interruption by kids, dogs, or the nagging feeling you should be doing housework!
